Why you received a message

What our messages never ask for

We do not ask for your password, a one-time code read aloud, bank or card details, or payment of any kind by email. We do not ask you to install software from a link, and we do not send you to a file-sharing site. A legitimate message gives you a session code and tells you to enter it on this domain, after speaking to a technician you called or who was booked with you.

How to check a message

If a message does not match, do not open the link or enter the code. Forward it to support@remotedeskportal.com and tell your IT contact, then delete it.

Stopping these messages

Session codes are sent per ticket and stop when the ticket is closed. Service notices can be reduced by asking your IT contact, but notices about sessions on your device cannot be switched off entirely. We do not send marketing mail to client staff.

Deliverability

Session codes are sent from a dedicated subdomain used only for service mail. If your filter quarantines external mail, ask your IT team to allow mail from remotedeskportal.com, then ask the service desk to reissue the code — codes cannot be reissued by the person receiving them.
