Start a remote support session with our service desk.

RemoteDesk Portal is operated by Ashford Technical Services Ltd. If our service desk needs to see the problem on your screen, we give you a session code. You enter it here, confirm the connection, and the session ends when you close it.

Used by staff at the organisations we support, and by our own technicians who connect to a client computer at the client’s request.

What a session is used for

Problems that need eyes on the screen

An application that will not start, a mailbox that will not sync, a printer that keeps going offline. You see everything the technician does, on your own screen, and the conversation continues on the phone.

New starters and device set-up

Preparing a laptop, a phone or a shared workstation for a new colleague: mail profile, drives, print queues, the applications your company uses, checked together before the person starts.

Scheduled maintenance

Sessions booked in advance with your IT contact for upgrades and migrations, usually outside working hours. The time window and the technician are named in the booking.

How a session works

  1. We give you a code

Our service desk, or your organisation’s IT contact, sends you a session code with a time window and the name of the technician who will attend. The code is single use and expires after 24 hours.

  2. You open the portal and enter it

The connection screen shows the technician’s name, the company, and how long the session will stay open. Nothing is shared with us at this point.

  3. You approve the connection

Sharing starts only after you confirm, and the technician can only see what you allow. You can pause sharing at any moment, and you can end the session immediately — the technician cannot stop you.

  4. The session closes and the record is written

Start time, end time, the technician, the client, and any file transferred with your approval. The record is kept for 12 months and your IT contact can ask for a copy at any time.
